Oryginalny artykuł naukowy (Original research paper)

W artykule zamieszczono opis przyczyn zawilgocenia murów z cegły ceramicznej. Przeprowadzono termograficzne pomiary laboratoryjne z wykorzystaniem promiennika na podczerwień IR. Badaniom poddano murki z ceramicznej cegły pełnej, wykonane na różnych zaprawach. Moc znamionowa promiennika IR wynosiła 250 W. W artykule zamieszczono wyniki doboru konfiguracji promiennika, sposobu przeniesienia tego promieniowania namur za pomocą walca o średnicy 130 mm. Przedstawiono stanowisko do badania wilgotności muru wraz z oprzyrządowaniem.

The use of infrared radiation in a method of examining the degree
of dampness in brick walls

Abstract. The article reviews the causes of moisture presence in ceramic brickwork. Thermographic measurements were made using an infrared heater. The study involved walls made of full ceramic brick, built with the use of variousmortars. The IR heater rated power was 250W. The article presents the heater’s configuration selected for the purposes of the newly developed method of transferring heat radiation to an examined wall using a cylinder with a diameter of 130 mm. The author describes a work station for testing the moisture content of a wall together with the instrumentation. The aim of the study was to illustrate the differences in the processes of cooling a drywall and a dampwall, as evidenced by the differences inmeasurements. This study in the future may be applied in the process of optimizing the moisture control of brick walls.

Keywords: brick walls; moisture; thermal imaging; infrared radiator; moisture analysis.
